SMI Handling Systeme is a medium-sized family business with more than 35 years of experience in the distribution of vacuum lifters and handling equipment. The headquarters of the internationally active company is in Wetter (Ruhr) in North Rhine-Westphalia. The company currently employs 22 people here. SMI is supported in sales throughout Germany by 5 representatives and abroad by independent partners.
SMI specialises in developing solutions for handling goods. The main focus is on vacuum lifting technology. Under the brands smilift and smigrip, SMI has complete product ranges and special devices for the transport of loads from small to heavy duty.
After more than 35 years of activity in the international market, our customers can be found in almost all business fields of industry and trade. Due to the different industry coverage, we additionally offer our products in stainless steel design as well as for Ex-areas. In addition to "standard products" such as sacks, boxes, buckets, barrels and canisters, we also design special solutions for handling e.g. cheese and butter blocks, EURO pallets and industrial pallets, rubber bales, batteries, coils and spools, car roofs, discs, cans, rims (aluminium rims, steel rims) or various plates.
