A Hiddenhausen (NRW) 1977-es SOKRATHERM GmbH létrehozása óta a családi tulajdonban lévő SOKRATHERM GmbH kifejlesztett, épített és szállított kompakt termoelektromos egységet (CHP). Mintegy 2000 kompakt kogenerációs modul, amelynek teljesítménye 50 kW és 1 megawatt, villamos energiát és hőt termel a világ különböző épületeiben a hatékony és környezetbarát kogenerációs elvek alkalmazásával.
A Nordhausenben (Türingia) gyártott kogenerációs üzem földgázt, biometánt, propángázt, szennyvízgázt vagy biogázt használ fel villamos energia és hő előállítására, és a teljes hatékonyság általában meghaladja a 90% -ot. Megfelelő tartozékokkal olyan forró olajokat is előállíthatnak, mint a sürgősségi teljesítmény, a gőz, a hűtés vagy a fűtés.
