Each studied at the Akademie der Wissenschaften, the leading research institute of the former German Democratic Republic. After the reunification of Germany, the trio of engineers and physicists immediately decided to found their own company, and the vision of A·P·E was born.
Applying their deep expertise in laser technology, the first product introduced was a user-friendly autocorrelator for scientific applications. From this spirit of innovation, A·P·E has continued to develop an extensive range of industry-leading products and accessories for the ultrafast laser market.
By having all development, design and manufacturing in house, A·P·E is able to ensure far greater innovation and flexibility in meeting the specific demands of each customer.
