Le radici di Göritzhainer Maschinenfabrik risalgono all'inizio degli anni '70, quando Karl-Friedrich Machan avviò la propria attività nel campo della tecnologia dei trasportatori ad Augsburg. Nel 1993, l'azienda si è trasferita a Lunzenau.

Il figlio Jürgen Machan gestisce l'azienda di famiglia dal 2022.
