A então American Louver Continental GmbH foi fundada como subsidiária de uma empresa americana e foi assim uma das primeiras empresas no campo da luz e das persianas de tecto.
A partir de 1983, funcionou sob o nome ALC-Louver GmbH com sede em Aschaffenburg / Baviera. O negócio de importação inicialmente puro foi gradualmente unido por outros produtos próprios à carteira.
