Fundada em 2013, a ABMT surgiu com a intenção de vender e reformar transformadores elétricos. Em 2015, após fechar um contrato para reciclagem de transformadores no Piauí, a empresa expandiu suas operações para a recuperação de outros materiais que compõem os transformadores, como óleo mineral, cobre, alumínio, materiais ferrosos e não ferrosos.
Em 2020, começou uma ampliação da estrutura fabril e, no ano seguinte, dobrou a frota de caminhões. Também em 2021 fechou o primeiro contrato internacional. Por fim, em 2023, assinou contrato com uma das maiores concessionárias elétricas do país.
