As a small technical company, DPL was funded by three technical engineers in 1992 in Denmark. We developed the first cold UV curing system in the world and had it patterned, making DPL Industri A/S one of the oldest UV curing system manufacturer in Europe. However, as the presence of low-cost Chinese products keeps increasing in the market and the cost of production remains high in Denmark, manufacture for a small yet quality-focused company like DPL has been more difficult and challenging. Hence, to remain competitive, we invest more resources on technology research and innovation such as high-added-value integrated products.
In 2015, we started to develop our own LED module for the graphic printing industry to build up a more powerful and effective LED light system for high-speed printing press. We have also developed a higher-power 3D LED curing system for 3D-modelling industry.
In 2019, DPL started to cooperate with algae cultivation research teams from Denmark Technical University and Århus University on how to increase productivity, especially how to improve light intensity transmission underwater.
