The BÜFA Group is an independent, medium-sized company in the chemical industry. BÜFA, which was founded in Oldenburg in 1883, is active today internationally in the business areas of chemicals, cleaning and composites. We owe our success to innovative, environmentally appropriate products and systems for targeted use that meet the highest requirements and are used in many industries such as railroad, wind energy, food and cleaning. All of our endeavours are strictly oriented to the principle of sustainability. We focus on New Chemistry and combine economic efficiency with social responsibility.
Chemicals
In the chemicals business area, we supply our customers with more than 1,000 different chemical products. Not only is the enormous selection of products impressive but so is our perfect service when it comes to warehousing, packaging and distribution.

With our water treatment technologies cooling water, boiler water & heating systems, waste water and reverse osmosis plants work more efficiently and are more stable. We offer specially developed technologies for process treatment for use in refineries, petrochemical plants, the steel industry and in the production of pulp and paper.
Our customers benefit from extended plant lifecycles, lower energy consumption and optimal work safety. Our experience, our know-how and above all our excellently trained employees make us a competent partner for water, paper and process treatment and for construction projects.

Founded 1989, our European team consists now of about 550 employees at 12 various locations, covering the EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa) sales area. With own production facilities we contribute to a reliable supply chain for our customers. Our own R&D centers, laboratories and pilot test plants allow us to develop continuously customised state-of-the-art technologies.
Kurita Europe is a subsidiary of Kurita Water Industries Ltd. headquartered in Tokyo, Japan. Founded in 1949, the Group has 5,654 employees worldwide as of 2016 with a turnover of approximately 1.91 billion USD.
