Buehler is a manufacturer of metallographic testing equipment including scientific instruments & supplies for cross-sectional material testing. Buehler’s sectioning, mounting, grinding and polishing, imaging and analysis and hardness testing metallographic equipment along with consumables are used by metallurgical, metallography, petrography, research & development, university laboratories, quality control departments and failure analysis facilities for the analysis of all types of materials, including ceramics, composites, semiconductors, metals, rocks and minerals, and plastics.

The Bareiss Prüfgerätebau GmbH characterises the development of hardness tests on elastomers and other soft elastic materials by innovation and progress, since its foundation by Heinrich Bareiss in 1954. Nowadays Bareiss and its 42 qualified colleagues develop, manufacture and distribute top-quality testing devices for rubber, plastics and soft elastic materials in pharmacy and food industry, as they did in the past.
In order to be able to guarantee top-quality of its products durably, Bareiss has established a management system acc. to ISO 9001. Thereby, all processes and activities, which are decisive for quality and safety, are planned, controlled and surveyed permanently. As accredited testing laboratory of the German Calibration Services DKD for the measurement category of hardness, Bareiss is making calibrations on Shore and IRHD testing devices permanently, in the company's laboratory and outdoors and provides official calibration certificates for this purpose , since 1996, in context of the control of testing devices.

BAQ GmbH is operating in the field of material testing since 1992. The product range covers stationary and portable hardness testers (Vickers, Rockwell, Brinell, Shore, impact hardness and ultrasonic contact impedance (UCI) method) as well as devices for testing layer thickness, abrasion resistance, scratching resistance and coating adhesion strength. These devices are used in all areas of material testing, e.g. inspection of incoming goods, production, research and development. More than 25 years of experience and continuous cooperation with the Fraunhofer Institute for Surface Engineering and Thin Films and others as well as in-house development and production in Germany guarantee good quality and optimal service. BAQ also offers optimized solutions for special requirements.
