Description

The cooler is designed as a 1 or 2-stage cooler and is made of stainless steel sheet. Each stage is equipped with an air distribution chamber formed by a conical and a flat bottom, the upper one being made of perforated sheet metal. The connection pipe for the cooling air supply flows tangentially into this chamber. The cooler is equipped with an agitator mounted on one side, which is driven by a worm gear motor.
A butterfly valve is flanged to the outlet opening, which is required for the start-up process. The regulation of the granulate filling level is carried out by a level indicator in the upper part of the cooler.
This level indicator is interlocked with the outlet flap. The cleaning openings in the cooler are to be closed by a door provided with inspection windows and a flap to be locked with quick-release fasteners. In order to be able to remove the heated air from the cooler, there is an exhaust air opening in the upper part, which is connected to an exhaust air housing, which is dimensioned in its free cross-section in such a way that any granulate which may be entrained is deposited due to the lower flow speed.
The granulate can be discharged from the exhaust air housing via a manually operated rotary flap in the outlet nozzle. The material is fed via an upstream cyclone under which a three-way flap is mounted for sampling or as an overfill protection. The cooled material is discharged through a pneumatic flap mounted under the cooler which is electrically controlled;
