There are many different types of fire brigade trailers, there is a big difference, because there are standardized - and not standardized trailers. The standard trailers include only the boat trailer and the trailer with Schsum water cannon. A foam water cannon is standardized according to DIN 14521 and a boat trailer according to DIN 14962. The foam water cannon is also called FwA - SWW. This is filled with 240 litres of foam concentrate. A boat trailer has no filling, but transports boats from one punk to another. The non-standard trailers include hose transport trailers, powder extinguishers, light poles, monitors, road safety trailers, peak load trailers, oil weir trailers, trailer ladders, foaming agent trailers, cooking stoves and carbon oxide extinguishers. A hose transport trailer is also called STA for short. This has about 30 to 35 hoses, each with a length of about 20 meters. Cooking stoves are also often referred to colloquially as goulash cannons and are used to supply the emergency personnel on site. In exceptional cases, however, civilians are also supplied with it. Powder extinguishing trailers are used for hazardous goods and gas fires. These fires cannot be extinguished with water. They are equipped with about 750 kg extinguishing powder and propellant gas. A very rare trailer is the carbon dioxide extinguisher, sometimes used for fires in electrical installations and hazardous goods fires.
