Through perfect coordination with your application, we are able to find the optimum lubricant or develop it to suit your application. We pay special attention to bonded coating applications that turn the simple lubricant into a calculable partner in the overall system "screw connection".

Connecting elements are assembled millions of times a day. Although precise, theoretical calculations and standards are available, in practice there are still enormous problems. With the calculated or specified tightening torque, there are large differences in the clamping force due to the scattering of the coefficients of friction. This also results in different settlement phenomena on the surface, the thread flanks and the contact surfaces. The result is uncontrolled pretensioning forces and thus uneven tensioning. Screws in the high temperature range or screws with changing temperature loads often have considerable difficulties in loosening the connection. Unsuitable pastes can cause metallurgical changes in the screw material at extreme temperatures and thus significantly increase the loosening torque.

Bonded coating lubrication for DISC™ and SmartDISK™
Modern bonded coating systems and bonded coating sprays are dry, extremely heavy-duty lubricant systems. They are particularly suitable for use with slow movements and high surface pressures, as they occur when pretensioning screw connections. And they are particularly suitable for tribologically critical material combinations such as stainless steel on stainless steel. The advantages of these self-drying bonded coating films are the very high pressure resistance, the constantly low coefficients of friction and the resulting reproducible pretensioning forces. In addition, there is a high adhesive strength on all surfaces and a coating that can be carried out cost-effectively by means of spray or job coating. We call our bonded coating system DISC.08™.

Molykote P37 and Molykote 1000 for CLAMP™ and SmartSTUD™ High-performance lubricating
pastes with an extremely high proportion of selected solid lubricants with matching base oils are a standard component of the fasteners CLAMP™ and SmartSTUD™. In more than 12 years of continuous operation in nuclear plants, these lubricating pastes have shown that they function perfectly for use at permanent temperatures of 280°C and constant contact with the medium with CLAMP™. The pastes used are particularly characterised by high pressure resistance and are specially designed for the boundary and mixed friction range. The constantly low coefficients of friction ensure a very low spread of pretensioning force and at the same time ensure a very high pressure resistance. They have a wear-reducing effect and thus guarantee a high degree of reusability of screws, nuts and washers.
