Construction site accommodation is a space, which is located directly on the building site or within walking distance of the site. A distinction is made between temporary and permanent accommodation. Temporary accommodation is generally a container or trailer that can be transported at the end of construction together with the inventory to the next construction site. An example for permanent accommodation are pensions and guest rooms which are designated near the construction site.

Site housing can have different functions. They are available depending on the interior as a residence, work or living rooms and bedrooms. Thus one finds on wholesale and long-term construction sites often portable buildings that are built from containers in area cell design. The individual containers are adapted to their purpose with the necessary inventory and the corresponding technology (electricity, water and heating connections) is provided.

Smaller sites are usually equipped with trailers. These are special trailers with chassis and cab, which is transported depending on the size of cars or trucks. A trailer is available as a residence, office, cloakrooms and tool room. Larger models are equipped from the factory with cupboards and seating.
