The range of freight elevators is diverse. From the small goods lift to the lift that can carry up to 500 kg. The size of the cabin can be specially manufactured according to the customer's wishes and, in addition to loads, can also be permitted for persons to accompany. In many companies, these facilities are used to transport goods over several floors. As a rule, these elevators are not used for customer traffic and only authorised persons are allowed to travel with them. Using keys or other means of identification, such as a chip card, these authorized persons can then use the lift without restriction. Low load elevators are used in restaurants, for example. The transport of persons and heavy loads is not possible here. If the kitchen and restaurant are on different floors, these little helpers are particularly practical for handling transport tasks. Larger orders can change floors very quickly in this way, which leads to customer satisfaction and especially facilitates the work of the staff. In DIY stores there are freight elevators which are approved for persons. In this way, customers can transport their purchased products to the car in the underground car park without any restrictions. The payloads here are often higher than in passenger-only elevators. This is why these elevators are also known as heavy-duty elevators.
