A rack and pinion drive system consists of a rack (or "linear gear") and a pinion (or "circular gear"). The working principle is to convert the rotational motion of the gear into the reciprocating linear motion of the rack, or convert the reciprocating linear motion of the rack into the rotational motion of the gear.
1. Zero backlash/high precision Unique and innovative meshing always ensures that more than two gear teeth are in contact with each other, and ensures zero backlash on both sides of the gear teeth, ensuring positioning accuracy of ±20 microns, and accurately measuring each tooth profile relative to the tooth position, thereby ensuring high positioning accuracy and reducing cumulative pitch errors.
2. High-speed operation capability The roller rack and pinion transmission system can effectively realize economical high-speed transmission, with speeds up to 11 meters/second, achieving high positioning accuracy usually provided by linear motors, and under high-speed motion, the ultra-low friction design does not produce any Heating or component wear.
3. The modular design of the rack is very conducive to storage, supply, cost reduction and exchange. The connection of the rack uses a special tool to accurately transfer the position accuracy of the front rack to the next rack through the teeth of the rack.
