A paddle vacuum dryer is a vacuum dryer that operates with a centrifuge and a heated container wall. The products to be treated are moved and digested in it. With the aid of solvent vapours, ultra-fine particles are entrained and separated by an attached filter. Since this filter can be cleaned pneumatically, the cleaned particles are finally returned to the product bed to be dried. Furthermore, vacuum drying takes place in a closed system, with the exclusion of oxygen and the recovery of liquids formed by condensation, so that even products containing hazardous or flammable liquids can be dried.
