The cold heading process can achieve ultra-thin fins of 0.7mm, with a spacing of 1mm and a length to diameter ratio of 1:50 or more (extrusion process usually 1:25).
Mold requirements:
Use H13 steel or tungsten steel molds (hardness HRC45-50), and polish the working belt to Ra ≤ 0.8 μ m.
Equipment weighing over 3000 tons can form large-sized radiators of 2600mm × 260mm in one go.
2、 Cold heading process parameters
Molding parameters:
The forging force is 100-1000kN, the servo drive accuracy is ± 0.01mm, and the recommended temperature for warm forging is 580-780 ℃.
The three-dimensional intake design is superior to traditional two-dimensional extrusion, improving heat dissipation efficiency.
Welding process:.
Nitrogen protected brazing/vacuum brazing is suitable for thin-walled parts (such as AL3003/4045), while friction stir welding is suitable for thick walled parts.
