Please note when mounting:
1. the shunts can be mounted horizontally or vertically. We recommend horizontal installation, due to better heat dissipation.
2. the contact surface should be used completely.
3. the contact surface should be clean.
4. the screws must be tightened.
5. the resistors should be cooled sufficiently.
6. When ordering, please specify the design (...A/...mV Form A) Application

The current flowing through the shunt generates a voltage drop which can be measured with a measuring device connected in parallel. The parallel connection of shunt resistor and measuring device thus enables the use of voltage measuring devices for current measurement or an extension of the measuring range of existing current measuring devices.
