In many places, the increased energy use of the sun by solar parks can be observed. As a rule, these are built on unused arable land to generate solar energy. Photovoltaics is the new magic word, the sun becomes our biggest source of energy. The solar parks with their solar cells are able to convert the collected solar rays into direct current and thus produce a kind of regenerative energy. It can be said that unlike other types of energy, solar energy can be used indefinitely. So-called photovoltaic systems can mean high revenues for the operator. A new law, the "Renewable Energy Act", makes it possible to provide high returns for investors. A form of safe and clean energy generation, electricity can be fed into the public grid via these systems. The largest solar power plant in Germany was commissioned in 2009 and contains approximately 560,000 solar modules. It is located in eastern Germany and has an output of 53 megawatts. This plant was built on an area of 162 hectares.
