There are two types of waste presses

Vertical-bailing presses
Vertical-bailing presses compress paper or foils into bales in that they put press from above onto the material. This makes it possible to start the filling from the beginning. When the bales are pressed they are held in shape with baling wire or other material. Lots of machines have an automatic bale ejection. To make the extraction of the bales of surprisingly heavy weight easier.

Vertical-bailing presses are not only provided for paper and synthetic materials with up to 80 t compression force, they can also be used for barrel disposal. Likewise PET and hard synthetic materials can also be pressed with these. The vertical bailing press has due to its style of construction requires a small installation area and is suitable for small and medium sized quantities. Horizontal-bailing presses
Horizontal-bailing presses allow for filling with bulky material. The compression pressure is therefore induced sideways. The required installation area is thereby larger in comparison to the vertical-bailing press. For this reason waste presses are found where a lot of space is available: often in wholesale businesses, in the paper industry and in large printing houses. They can also be come across in waste disposal yards.

An advantage of the horizontal bailing press in contrast to the vertical bailing press is that the material can be comfortably introduced through a large opening and the entire chamber can always be used for disposal.
