The term coffee is derived from the Turkish word and from the Arabic word ‏قهوة qahwa. Coffee is a fruit that thrives only in the southernmost latitudes. The coffee beans are obtained from various plant species of the family of green, cherry-sized stone fruits or in Latin Rubiacea. Two of the most important types of these coffee plants are Arabica coffee or Coffea arabica and Robusta coffee or Coffea canephora. These two most popular varieties are available in various variations. It was above all the location where the plants and their fruits were grown that decided on the quality level. Today, coffee is grown far in more than fifty countries. Coffee is recognized throughout the world as a stimulating, tasty, caffeine-containing, psychotropic stimulant. The roasted and ground coffee beans are used to make a dark drink that is usually eaten hot and is very popular all over the world. The recipes and methods of its production vary slightly from nationality to nationality. Some filter the ground coffee beans, some simply pour hot water on them. Coffee is also often mixed with milk or cream, often with sugar. Mocha is a particularly concentrated coffee drink.
