The newly developed EPDM material AP 302 from COG fulfils three of the most important approvals for these areas at once: the safety test according to FDA 21 CFR § 177.2600 and the release according to USP Class VI in Chapter 88. The material was even tested up to 121 °C and not, as is also usual in the market, only up to 70 °C. An additional security for operations in critical areas. In addition, this material meets the criteria of 3-A Sanitary Standard Class II. AP 302 has also been successfully tested in use with WFI water.
AP 302 has been specially designed for use with liquid or fatty media. The new sealing material is very well suited for an operating temperature range of -40 °C to 150 °C and especially in contact with CIP/SIP media. AP 302 thus offers great flexibility for use in various production processes in the pharmaceutical and food industries.
