The Bölhoff GmbH is a medium-sized company in Gaildorf. Horst Bölhoff founded the company in 1962 with the main focus on thermal control elements and production of thermostats. Over the years, the production focus was shifted to the pneumatics industry. The new managing director Peter A. Friedrich changed the company's name to Bölhoff Gesellschaft für Steuer- und Regeltechnik mbH in 1990.

The history of our company dates back 1972. In those days the main focus of our activities was in the production of thermoplastic injection moulded parts and polyurethane foam elements. Shortly afterwards, we started a pilot plant for the manufacture of constructional elements made of cellular and solid polyurethane elastomers for high stress applications. It turned out to be a very decisive step towards the future and was a significant influence on the company’s strategic development over the coming years.
We continued to extend our activities in the area of PUR manufacturing until 1992 when we clearly positioned the company as P+S Polyurethan-Elastomere GmbH & Co. KG as sole manufacturer of technical components made of solid and foamed polyurethane systems.
Since then, our products have become known as problem solvers for a large number of manufacturing branches – with ever increasing areas of application. Around the world many companies rely on our PUR elastomers and appreciate the comprehensive support and advice of our experts. In other words, we are known as a supplier of complete quality solutions.

All our activities along the entire value chain are characterized by an optimum level of economic efficiency and environmental sustainability. Our PUR systems are not manufactured in large scale series – on the contrary, we usually produce small and medium series of up to 100,000 pieces. On request we will happily develop and manufacture custom made single pieces with very special features for very specific applications.
We share long term cooperations with many of our business partners but again and again our circle of customers gets extended by new companies and their inherent challenges. GuK GmbH is your specialist consultant in the field of rubber and plastics technology. We see ourselves as a solution provider and competent partner for our customers, who benefit from the comprehensive know-how and innovative spirit of our 26 employees. GuK has premises with a floor space of 1,500 square meters, the technical equipment of which is constantly being modernized and expanded. When the company was founded in 1994, it already had a manually operated punching machine, an automatic punching machine for small batches of up to 5,000 pieces, a band saw and a machine for automatically cutting hoses and molded parts to length, but later a laminating machine for coating existing materials as "self-adhesive" and a cutting plotter were added. The cutting plotter enables the cost-effective production of small batches without the need for a punching tool. In 2000, GuK entered the field of elastomer molded part production, where customer-specific, drawing-based parts are produced in series. Our water jet cutting machine has been in operation since April 2006 and a 3D printer since 2014.

Performance profile
The product portfolio includes commercial products, usually fittings, sheets, insulation products, foils and adhesives, as well as in-house products. These are the core areas of hose technology, profiles, sealing technology, molded parts and coatings. Elastomers, foams and rubber are processed. One of GuK's strengths is the customer-specific assembly and finishing of merchandise.
In summary, it can be said that GuK offers a wide range of products that leaves no questions unanswered. In order to meet this requirement, GuK also offers containers, special technical lubricants and products in the areas of pump technology, safety and the environment in addition to the basic range.

IDG-Dichtungstechnik GmbH sees itself as a technology centre for innovative high and ultra-high performance seals. As a developer and manufacturer, IDG concentrates its competence on seals whose materials are mainly based on polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE).
