Solid Fuels - Manufacturers, Traders & Suppliers

Solid fuels denotes all fuels that are not in liquid or gas form before they are burnt. They must also have a solid aggregate phase.
Examples for solid fuels are brown and black coal, wood in various varities (Pellets, pieces of wood, wood shavings, charcoal ... ) and biomass such as coffeedregs or straw.
Also residual waste can in theory also be solid fuel, if it can be burnt in an oven and thereby deliver heat. However this method should be barred for environmental protection reasons, although it is obviously very cheap.
Solid fuels are costlier for the user than other fuels, as they cannot for example like heating oil be stored in a tank and also the delivery by pipeline or tubes is not possible like with gas. They need a large amount of storage space and also the transport from supplier to consumer is very labour and cost intensive and also demands a lot of time. Also the burnt ashes are left behind, which naturally must be disposed of. As ashes are unburnable components of their fuel source.
However heating with solid fuels does also have advantages: The fuel source takes longer to burn out completely, whereby a long enduring heat source is generated. And who has not already dreamed of a cozy evening by a nice open fireplace? In this regard it is vastly superior to other forms of heating.
