Interfering residual magnetism can remain in workpieces after machining. Chips and also small metallic parts adhere to the objects concerned and interfere with use or further processing. We offer different demagnetization devices for different applications to eliminate the residual magnetism.

Components are demagnetized by 2 coils wound around the component or by means of direct current flow with 4 magnetic poles arranged crosswise. Current pulses of decreasing intensity and alternating direction are sent through the component via the coils.
The magnetism in the component is initially directed according to the position of the coils and then continuously reduced.

As an example, some components can be tested for surface cracks and demagnetised using HPT direct current pulse technology:

• Hydropower plants: Running blades, Pelton wheels with the largest test areas can be tested quickly, safely and economically.

• Wind power stations: Rolling bearing rings, planet carriers, gear rims with internal and external toothing with diameters of up to more than 10 m can be inspected and demagnetized in the crane while suspended.

For demagnetizing solid parts and great number of parts in containers we recommend the Pulse Demagnetizing Equipment with capacitor discharge model SIE-MPC or special demagnetizing flat coils with a frequency of 50 Hz / 60 Hz.
Our Standard Portable Demagnetizing Devices HE-1 and HE-2 can be used to demagnetize single and machine parts, such as parts passing over an existing conveyor belt. These devices contain a pole of laminated sheet, where the objects to be demagnetized pass along.
