Telescopic rails or telescopic guides are a special design of ball-bearing linear guides. Telescopic slides are used when long strokes and short installation space are required. The stroke or the extension lengths can reach a multiple of the installation length.This is achieved by telescoping two, three or four guide rails mounted one inside the other. Depending on the load requirements, roll-formed sheet metal rails, C-profile rails, drawn and milled steel rails are used for assembly.
