Wicks

A wick is a thread-like object consisting of several different woven fibres. These woven fibres are usually twisted or intertwined. The conductivity of the wick is guaranteed by these different fabric fibres. The wick can thus transport the liquid to be burned upwards against gravity by absorbing it.Dochte are produced in different lengths and diameters, which ensures that they can be used in different candles or oil lamps. The wick is always in the middle of the mass to be burned. A wick is used for both candles and oil lamps. The application areas of a wick in a candle include, for example, tea lights or candles. The oil lamps include the aroma oil lamps, petroleum lamps.The wick inside a tea light, is poured in the middle of the tea light and is provided at the lower end with a non-flammable metal piece for safety reasons. The wick is lit on the tea light during use and then burns the adjacent wax mixture. This wax mixture becomes liquid and fills the remaining wick with wax, so that the burning time of the wick is extended, since the excess wax must first be burned. As soon as the wax stops feeding the wick, it burns and finally goes out on the safety metal plate.
