AFRISO, founded in 1869 by Adelbert Fritz in Schmiedefeld/Thuringia, is an innovative, medium-sized family-owned company with more than 1,000 employees worldwide - over 550 of them at our four German sites. Traditionally, we produce measuring and control devices for temperature and pressure. For more than 50 years, we have also been manufacturing measuring, control and monitoring devices for environmental protection.
Today, AFRISO is one of the competence leaders in the field of safety around heating and tank systems as well as an industrial partner in the field of pressure, temperature and level measurement technology. Trend topics such as "Smart Home" also have a tradition with us: we have been dealing with the topic of "event reporting in buildings" since 1997. The latest Smart Home generation has been sustainably developed further since 2012 and offers convincing sensors and actuators for building security, increasing living comfort or for a better indoor climate in your home.

Intelligent mechanical engineering with high-quality process technology and the associated EMSR technology are planned and realized completely in-house in our own specialist departments. Especially for the pharmaceutical industry we supply qualified GMP and FDA compliant plants as a prerequisite for validation.

The production facility is sited within the head office in Betzigau, Germany. With an additional production facility in Malta and its own dedicated sales offices in the US, the UK and in the growth regions of China, India and Russia, customer requirements from around the world can be met with maximum flexibility. Since its foundation in 1977, the UWT GmbH product portfolio has developed and refined to provide solutions for a wide range of industries. Industries such as the food industry, plastic applications, cement plants, chemical industry, wood and rubber sector, environmental plants, power plants, etc. The company is ISO 9001: 2015 certified. UWT continually expands its portfolio of product certifications with particular regard to international markets. Features such as universal voltage or the hygiene approval "EHEDG" as well as specialised solutions allow UWT to effectively solve difficult applications in the entire bulk material handling industry. A recent new product development is the RFnivo® 3000. This is a capacitive level switch which allows through its many variations, custom made solutions for all bulk materials applications. The simple commissioning with automatic calibration is particularly user-friendly.
