Generally, we measure the conductivity of a solution by conductivity (that is, the reciprocal of resistance). The ability to transmit current is also measured by conductivity (that is, the reciprocal of resistivity). When the current passes through the electrode, it will produce oxidation or reduction reaction, which will lead to the change of the characteristics of the solution near the electrode and produce "polarization" phenomenon, thus affecting the accuracy of conductance measurement. Therefore, the general conductance measurement method is high frequency alternating current measurement method, which can reduce or eliminate the above polarization phenomenon. An electrical electrode generally consists of a pair of parallel sheets with a fixed area and position. However, due to the inability to accurately measure the effective area and distance of the electrode, the electrode constant is usually measured with standard solution of potassium chloride (KCl) or sodium chloride (NaCl), and the standard solution close to the measured solution is selected as far as possible to reduce the measurement error.

Remarks: 1. Electrode type suffix with T means that this electrode contains temperature measuring elements, matching with temperature measuring function of the instrument can measure function and automatic temperature compensation. 2. Electrodes without temperature measuring elements can also be used in conductivity meters with automatic temperature compensation, but they have no function of measuring temperature. 3. When the electrode with temperature measuring element is used on the conductivity meter without temperature measuring function, the temperature measuring function fails and automatic temperature compensation cannot be achieved.
