ALTHEN's sensor portfolio covers all areas of electrical measurement technology for mechanical quantities. The sensors used for this purpose are essentially divided into strain gauge transducers, inductive transducers with carrier frequency supply, potentiometric sensors and piezoelectric accelerometers. For all these sensor ranges, ALTHEN supplies the appropriate measuring amplifiers which are matched to the application.
The range of strain gauges is covered by SG series amplifiers. The SG series was named after StrainGauge, the English translation of strain gauge. The measuring amplifiers are available in 3 designs: SG-KS for use in the control cabinet, SG-IP as a robust measuring amplifier in an IP65 housing for rough industrial use and SG-KA as a cassette plug-in unit for setting up 19" measuring systems.
The measuring amplifiers of type MC are available for inductive displacement and angle of rotation sensors. Here, too, the same designs are available as in the strain gauge sector. These measuring amplifiers provide the carrier frequency (TF) supply for the inductive sensors. A special form for force-displacement measurement is a 2-channel combination of a strain gauge and TF measuring amplifier. For piezoelectric transducers, the models VIB-KS for control cabinet mounting and VIB-IP for wall mounting in harsh environments are available.
All measuring amplifiers are available as standard models with analog output signal. The customer can choose between numerous voltage and current variants, the operating voltage ranges are typically between 10 ...18 VDC and 18 ...30 VDC.
The measuring amplifiers can be easily and flexibly modified for customer-specific measuring tasks. Multi-channel version, built-in digital displays, measuring point switching, limit value contacts are some examples of optional features.
