Compression springs are also called spiral springs. These cylindric coil springs are produced in accordance with DIN 2095. We use round cold moulded spring steel wire with a wire diameter of 0,16 until 3,0 mm and with a maximal external diameter of 45,0 mm.

To define the right version for the needed application, the following performance characteristics are crucial for the production of technical springs.

• Springs with open endings The end torsion of the compression spring is produced with a slope at each side.
• Springs with applied endings The end torsion at each side is applied to the prior torsion.
• Springs with applied and dressed to size endings After producing the compression spring is dressed to size which means that wire strengh is reduced by grinding at both sides. Hence the torsion is reduced up to 75% to emerge a smoothed surface. We use materials with a wire diameter of at least 0,5 mm.
• Placing a spring After temperature treatment and after a complete compression of 1 to 3 times, the springs shall not shorten while stressing them. Dependent to the winding tension, the length of the spring L0 could shorten if the first stressing locally overceeds the yield point. But with the described treatment that can be prevented.
• conical tapering and double tapering compression springs We produce compression springs with different external diameters regarding to spring bellows or to the ends of the spring.
