DOLOMAG® and Oxyfertil® are as natural limes the Rheinkalk KDI the
basis of soil fertility. In many places in Germany there are significant limestone or dolomite deposits. Rheinkalk GmbH, based in
Wülfrath has a whole range of quarries and production sites, e.g. in the Sauerland, the Eifel, the Harz or the Teutoburg Forest. Dolomite from calcium and magnesium carbonate (CaCO3 and MgCO3) differs from pure limestone from calcium carbonate by its magnesium content of up to 40%. Limestone and dolomite rocks have been formed in the course of the earth's history from deposits of calcareous marine organisms such as algae, corals, shells, etc., which were found in shallow, warm inland seas. Most of the deposits of the Rhine limestone have an age of about 360 million years and represent the natural limestone deposit, from which DOLOMAG® and Oxyfertil® as high-quality natural limes for agriculture and forestry.
The term natural lime is firmly defined by the legislator. DOLOMAG®
is obtained by mining, grinding, screening and classifying the raw rock, while in the production of Oxyfertil® the rock is fired at about
1000° C. By the conversion of the carbonates into oxides during the burning process, this special fertiliser lime is refined in a unique way. The special properties of "burnt" lime fertilizers with direct pH regulation, physical soil stabilization and phytosanitary side effects are outstanding. The natural limes of the Rheinkalk Group are produced according to the strict criteria of the
QM system according to DIN EN ISO 9001 geprüft.
An own central laboratory of Rheinkalk exclusively examines all products in the assortment. Further analyses are commissioned to accredited laboratory facilities throughout Germany.
