When using semi-automatic strapping machines, the strap is pulled manually over the packaging good. The machine then pulls the strap tight, seals and cuts the strap. There are also semi-automatic machines available for palett strapping that you can find at the bottom of this page.

• Semi-Automatic Strapping Machines

- Semi-Automatic Strapping Machines
With semi-automatic machines the strapping is put around the packed piece by hand instead of shot through a frame as with fully automatic strapping machines. Therefore, semi-automatic strapping machines are suitable when only few packed pieces need to be strapped per day. As a rule of thumb, you can take 40 cycles per day. For more it pays off to invest in a fully automatic strapping machine.

• Automatic Strapping Machines

Fully-automatic strapping machines have an arch through which shoots the strapping ribbon. Therefore, these automatic strapping machines are also called tunnel machines or arch machines. However, since the strapping process is initiated by either a hand switch or a foot pedal, these machines are not fully-automatic with the exception of the LS-600 A where the strapping process is done fully automatic via photo cells.

• Pallet Strapping Machines

When thinking about investing in a pallet strapping machine, the first question which has to be answered is how many pallets need to be strapped in one day.
With at least 50 palettes a day installing a fully automatic strapping machine with conveyor technology makes the most sense. The efficiency profit is significant here in spite of the higher capital costs.
Normally strapping is done vertically, because only then the packaging good is connected with the pallet. In some cases, it makes sense to do additional horizontal strapping to raise the lateral stability of the load, for example in the building materials industry.

• For horizontal strapping we recommend the LSH-600.
• For normal, vertical strapping, the LSS-600 is most suitable.
