A thermoform packaging machine is used for the production of packaging made of thermoplastics. In such a packaging machine, a thermally mouldable plastic is heated from a roll over a forming tool and pressed or drawn into a predetermined shape by means of vacuum nozzles or a punch. In further steps, the packaging can already be filled in the thermoformer, followed by sealing and sealing. As a rule, a thermoform packaging machine is integrated into a production line, at the end of which a product is ready for sale. The most common application of thermoform packaging machines is the industrial packaging of fresh foods such as fish or meat. The goods are not only packed airtight, but can also be given a so-called protective atmosphere as required. For example, just before sealing, the packaging is filled with nitrogen, which displaces the oxygen. This extremely slows down the formation of germs inside the packaging. An example of the use of thermoform packaging machines is the packaging of fresh fish. In some cases, this is even done directly on the respective fishing vessels. Here, the packaging is first formed and then usually filled manually. In further steps, a cover film is drawn over the packaging, the protective atmosphere is produced and the seal is produced by pressure or heat. In the last step, the packaging is cut crosswise and lengthwise from the film roll.
