Platz is a company with almost 140 years of experience. Founded in 1864 it produced the world's first back-fastened pant protection spray. It can still be seen in the Deutsches Museum in Munich. In addition, plant protection products notwithstanding, a small but fine plant grew within the company, namely, high pressure technology. As early as 1958 a first high-pressure device was produced. In the middle of the nineteen-sixties cleaning devices for breweries came onto the market. About 30% of turnover is exported. Importers in EEC countries, in the Eastern block as well as in Asia supply customers in their areas. Inland, Platz sells via regional representatives and contract dealers, as well as via a comprehensive customer service which is available to customers at all times. Over the said many years the image of Platz has changed from a manufacturer of devices to a supplier of systems. In the forefront are now stationary cleaning systems with integrated proven Platz high- and medium-pressure pumps. It can be seen in the two pictures, which follow how the Platz high-pressure cleaners have developed over time, from the first HD device in 1958 to the present.

The Axial piston pump is a hydraulic pump and reaches an oil pressure of up to 500 bar. This pump has several pistons parallel to the drive shaft and converts mechanical energy into hydraulic energy. By using several pistons, this pump technology achieves a constant delivery volume with a constant volume flow. Rotary lobe pumps are self-priming positive displacement pumps which transport the pumped liquid with the aid of intermeshing rotary pistons. The rotation of the two rotary pistons creates a vacuum on the suction side, which causes the pumped medium to be drawn in. The pumped medium then passes the pump wall and enters the pressure area. Depending on the viscosity of the fluid, these pumps achieve volume flows of up to 1300 m³/h. Compressed air piston pumps are compressed air driven pumps for pumping fluid media. This pump technology is used, among other things, for emptying drums and containers with flammable substances. Low pressure piston pumps are particularly suitable for pumping highly viscous fluids such as pastes, paints, greases or adhesives. These feed pumps are used, for example, in filling stations and for ink supply in paint circulation systems. Piston pumps consist of a piston with vertical pump cylinder. The piston works with an up and down movement. In the pump cylinder, the fluid medium is drawn in via the inlet valve and transported further via the outlet valve. These pumps are used for dosing or pulsation-like conveying of liquids or gases. Piston pumps have two domed circular pistons inside the pump housing which run contact-free in opposite directions. A vacuum is created in the cylindrical pump chambers by the rotation of the rotary piston at the suction point. The pumped medium is sucked in and transported further. With the Radial piston pump several working pistons are installed perpendicular to the drive shaft.
