Nowadays, pump technology can be found in almost all areas of our lives. Be it in industry (industrial pumps), water supply (water pumps), waste water disposal (waste water pumps), household or for fire extinguishing purposes (fire pumps). The pumps are divided into two main groups according to their functional principle: Positive displacement pumps are often self-priming and can prevent the fluid from flowing back through e.g. valves or displacement. These pumps generate a vacuum or vacuum to draw in and transport the medium to be pumped. Pump technology and types of positive displacement pumps are: Gear pumps - They have two opposing gears and use the principle of displacement in which they transport the medium to the outlet along the inner wall of the housing. piston pumps - They have a piston with which the pumped medium is sucked in and the inlet valve and outlet valve provide the necessary flow rate.
