Central vacuum cleaner systems are also called house suction systems. A central suction unit is permanently installed, usually in a cellar room or in the garage. From the suction unit, a pipe system runs through the entire building to the individual suction boxes. A suction hose with suction pipe can then be connected to the suction sockets and the floor nozzle, upholstery nozzle, crevice nozzle etc. can then be connected accordingly. The suction hose is usually between 7 m and 15 m long. Central vacuum cleaner systems are used in both private and commercial areas. The acquisition costs are higher than with a hand vacuum cleaner, on the other hand such systems have a considerably longer service life and a better energy balance. Further decisive advantages can justify the higher price, depending on the given requirements. Central vacuum cleaner systems are a great relief for people allergic to house dust, as there is practically no dust pollution when vacuuming. There is also no odour development as is usually the case with hand vacuum cleaners. In addition, these systems are relatively quiet and therefore more pleasant to use. Another decisive advantage is the low weight of the suction hose compared to hand-held vacuum cleaners. This makes transport to the individual floors and rooms much easier. The suction power is usually higher than that of hand vacuum cleaners and hardly decreases even when the container is full.
