Ladies and Gentlemen,

the company ABT Sportsline is today the largest tuner of vehicles for the VW and Audi Group and also implements numerous motorsport activities for the brand with the four rings. However, in a company with more than 125 years of history, yesterday also counts, and we are rooted in it. I think roots are important for standing securely - but they must not tie you to the ground. My forefathers already took this motto to heart. One of them, Johann Abt, founded an "innovation forge" in the truest sense of the word in 1896: instead of limiting himself to the manufacture of horseshoes and the repair of horse-drawn carriages, he invented a carriage that could also be used as a sled in the harsh snowy winters - a true hybrid, in other words. Since then, our family business has been constantly evolving. Like a mountain stream that grinds a pebble and pushes forward bit by bit into ever larger waters, the innovative spirit of many generations brought us ever further forward. The love of the car found its way into our hearts and minds early on.
When founder's grandson Johann Abt competed in his first car race in 1950 and laid the foundation for our motorsport activities, the AUTO-ABT had already existed in Kempten for a long time. My father also appreciated fast cars in everyday life. In 1967 he therefore founded ABT Tuning. In 1978 he tuned the first VW Golf and brought the first chip tuning onto the market as early as 1980. Then things went from strength to strength. And in 1991, the company finally opened its new prestigious headquarters in today's Johann-Abt-Strasse, which was expanded in 2014 to include an impressive motorsport center, and also houses its own museum.
My son Daniel Abt is also following in the footsteps left by me and a whole series of busy ancestors. However, he has long since been leaving his own mark and is keeping up with the times: as a Youtuber as well as at ABT Sportsline
