Cordless tour-guide sets were, as the name suggests, designed for professional guiding on visits to factories, museums or tourist excursions, frequently associated with mobility of listeners and groups.
Nowadays they are also suited to use as whispering equipment for interpreters under certain circumstances. The PFA consists of a cordless microphone (transmitter), normally 20 receivers for listeners and a charging case in which the receivers are replaced after every usage in order to recharge their batteries.
