Company sales refer to several takeovers of companies. A shareholder can also acquire a company or an enterprise by acquiring the majority of shares. A takeover of a company therefore means a complete change of management for the company concerned. This is either integrated into the buying company, or it is closed in order to eliminate competition, for example. Such a change of ownership is often associated with strong changes for the personnel. Staff reductions, or complete business restructuring are not uncommon.
