Company valuation refers to the process of determining the company value or individual parts of the company. There are two general principles of evaluation. On the one hand, there is the objective company valuation theory. This determines the only intrinsic value of the company. The subjective corporate theory, in turn, assumes that a company's own value can be demonstrated for each valuation subject. The unifying view on these two fields is offered by the Functional Evaluation Theory.
