Condominium law comprises all matters which, in the broadest sense, are in need of regulation during or after a division of a property into residential or part-ownership. This begins with the decision on the division, continues with advice on the drafting of the declaration of division and continues with the representation of interests in disputes within the community or with the administrator. But also the representation of the condominium owners or the community towards third parties touches the matter of the German Condominium Act (WEG). Condominium law is characterised by a very isolated jurisdiction. In German law, condominium ownership is a form of ownership of an individual apartment. It is established by registration in the land register, i.e. each apartment receives its own land register page when it is established and can therefore be sold, given away or encumbered like any other property.
