Air preheaters are heat exchangers used in various industrial processes and power plants to increase the temperature of the combustion air supplied to furnaces or boilers. They recover waste heat from the flue gas exiting the boiler or process and transfer it to the incoming combustion air, thereby improving the overall efficiency of the system.
Air preheaters function by transferring heat from the hot flue gas leaving the boiler or process to the colder combustion air entering the combustion chamber. By preheating the combustion air, the temperature of the fuel-air mixture is increased before combustion, resulting in better fuel efficiency and reduced fuel consumption. This process also helps to reduce the thermal energy lost in the flue gas.

Types of Air Preheaters:
