SMI Handling Systeme is a medium-sized family business with more than 35 years of experience in the distribution of vacuum lifters and handling equipment. The headquarters of the internationally active company is in Wetter (Ruhr) in North Rhine-Westphalia. The company currently employs 22 people here. SMI is supported in sales throughout Germany by 5 representatives and abroad by independent partners.
SMI specialises in developing solutions for handling goods. The main focus is on vacuum lifting technology. Under the brands smilift and smigrip, SMI has complete product ranges and special devices for the transport of loads from small to heavy duty.
After more than 35 years of activity in the international market, our customers can be found in almost all business fields of industry and trade. Due to the different industry coverage, we additionally offer our products in stainless steel design as well as for Ex-areas. In addition to "standard products" such as sacks, boxes, buckets, barrels and canisters, we also design special solutions for handling e.g. cheese and butter blocks, EURO pallets and industrial pallets, rubber bales, batteries, coils and spools, car roofs, discs, cans, rims (aluminium rims, steel rims) or various plates.

Il termine collettivo "strutture di carico" si riferisce a una moltitudine di dispositivi tecnici con cui merci di vario tipo possono essere caricate o trasbordate.Per esempio, merci alla rinfusa, liquidi, pacchi o anche interi container possono essere caricati a seconda del tipo di attrezzatura in questione.Il laico è probabilmente il termine più comune per una rampa di carico quando si tratta di strutture di carico. Una rampa di carico può essere fissa (in mattoni o cementata) o mobile. (esempio aeroporto) Può collegare due diverse altezze con un certo grado di inclinazione o anche funzionare a un'altezza costante. Una gru è anche una tipica struttura di carico e trasporta la merce dal basso verso l'alto o viceversa. Una gru può essere azionata manualmente, ma nella maggior parte dei casi motorizzata ed è in grado di trasportare le merci su un'altezza considerevole. Inoltre, può essere ruotato e quindi anche utilizzato in una direzione determinata.I sistemi di carico includono anche i cosiddetti "carrelli industriali", come carrelli elevatori o carrelli elevatori. Un "carrello" non è solo noto come gru mobile, ma si trova anche sulle travi a soffitto dei capannoni di produzione e muove il carico per mezzo di un paranco a catena sulla trave.In fondo si conoscono ancora le gru a portale per container veramente gigantesche, che vengono utilizzate nei porti marittimi per il carico di container navali e che naturalmente appartengono anche ai sistemi di carico.
