Engine oils are lubricants that lubricate the motion sequences in the engine itself as soon as they are set in motion. This is about lubricating the camshaft that drives the cylinders in each engine so that they can run without too much friction. A wrongly filled engine oil can therefore cause serious engine damage.Engine oils are mainly used in the automotive industry, where every car manufacturer also recommends and releases a different engine oil for its engines, because depending on the type of engine or prescribed inspection intervals a different type of engine oil must be filled in.As an example, in today's modern engine with a longlife service interval, an engine oil with a viscosity of 5 W 30 is usually recommended, as it has good flow properties and is durable for a long time in engine operation.
