With up to 30% shorter run-up times, the lightweight lathe chucks from Hainbuch push the productivity of turning processes. In addition, their low weight significantly reduces the physical strain on the machine operators. The accumulated material and processing know-how of the Marbach-based company is now also used by other tool and machine manufacturers. Cycle times have been reduced by 6 seconds - made possible by a lightweight carbon clamping device. A customer of Marbacher Hainbuch GmbH was able to take advantage of this advantage when machining aluminium bicycle hubs. Compared to a TOPlus Kombi Axzug chuck made of steel this means an additional production gain of 137 h or 2750 components per year. The investment decision was therefore easy, as the surcharge for the CFRP version of the clamping device paid for itself after only two months.
