MEDAN GmbH is an owner-managed family business with innovative market strategies and extensive technical expertise. Blickle is one of the world's leading producers of wheels and castors.
The company's standard range includes through 30,000 products. For special requirements, Blickle develops customised solutions. Today, the company produces more than 15 million wheels, swivel and fixed castors annually. The wheels and castors are used in all types of machinery and transport units, for example in intralogistics, mechanical and plant engineering, as well as in the food industry.

The company was founded in 1953 by Heinrich Blickle. Since 1967, the internationalisation has been consistently driven forward and subsidiaries have been established in all major markets. History of Control Techniques
We’ve always been a company who dreams big.
Founded in 1972 as KTK in Newtown, Wales, we took our name from our three founders. Their vision was to provide a new drive that met the needs of the market. The following year they did just that. The KTK 415V DC thyristor drive improved performance, reliability and energy efficiency for motor control.
As we grew, so did our network. We developed close relationships with our customers. This led to a wave of product innovations including the Commander AC and the Mentor, the world’s first digital DC drive.
In that same year, we became Control Techniques.
We were closer to industry than ever before. This helped us solve one of the biggest problems in automation. One single programmable drive that could run open-loop, closed-loop, and servo. The first intelligent drive: the Unidrive.
Not only did the Unidrive control any motor, it could communicate with a broad range of fieldbus. This gave our customers the freedom to improve their systems. Onboard intelligence made it possible to program our drives, giving greater control and enabling new possibilities.
The year was 1995. The same year Control Techniques joined Emerson.
Our high performance systems found their niche; where failure wasn’t an option, you’d find our drives. Crane systems, elevators, stage, high performance automation OEMs and factories all specified Control Techniques. Unidrive M, Digitax ST, and Mentor MP took the risk out of industrial breakdown.
Fast-forward to 2016, in Kyoto, Japan. The Nidec Corporation, the world’s largest motor producer saw the possibilities of our customer-focused technology. Eager to build high performance drive control into their business, they began talks. For us, this was the perfect fit.
In February 2017 Control Techniques joined the Nidec Corporation.
We’re now part of operations in over 40 countries, connected to approximately 300 companies who employ over 110,000 people.

UNITEK Industrie Elektronik GmbH -Power electronics under one roof and in close cooperation with LABOD electronic GmbH & Co. (CNC controls) andLNT-Automation GmbH (SMD production, development). UNITEK develops and produces power electronics for electromotive drives in various technologies from 200W to 800kW. More than 300 devices per month are manufactured according to in-house quality assurance guidelines. Qualified employees and optimal conditions guarantee good quality. The requirements of ISO9001:2000 are the basis.
Our guiding principle is that the quality standard is founded in development and design and implemented by production. Testing is a control and confirmation of quality. Our development department works closely together with LABOD electronic CNC controls. Optimal machine and vehicle drives with consistent software are only one result of this cooperation.

The company i.v.b. – Antriebstechnik GmbH was founded in 1996 and is a trading company in automation technology with special products for solving complex tasks in drive technology.
The product range consists in particular of a large number of innovative stepper motors, mechatronic drive systems, intelligent electronic stepper motor controls and customized solutions for a wide variety of applications.
We have an extensive selection of products with different performance features in our range so that their use offers the greatest possible benefit for our customers.
