Since it was founded in 2005 - as a German sister company of the Dutch Horrichs Apparatenbouw BV and Holland Filter BV - UrMaTi Apparatebau GmbH has combined the knowledge and experience of these two traditional companies.

The products were originally used for process and waste water treatment, with extensive experience being gained particularly in the food industry.

Especially in this area, it is of great importance that the equipment is made of high-quality, corrosion-resistant materials. The decision to exclusively use stainless steel and other high-quality materials was then quickly made. Within the food industry, UrMaTi Apparatebau GmbH has acquired knowledge in the field of production of various apparatuses and internal transport systems.

Of course, these devices are also made of stainless steel. From the food industry we have been able to gain experience in the field of stainless steel industry as well as in other branches of industry.

A filter circuit choke is basically used for voltage and current regulation in an existing AC circuit. The aim of using the filter circuit choke is to remove high-frequency alternating currents or to smooth out the direct current wave component in power converter circuits (e.g. in drive technology, solar technology, wind power technology). The size and design of a choke is determined by the energy (in Ws), which can be defined as 0.5 * L * I². The use of chokes in power engineering is necessary, among other things, to reduce harmonics. This serves as a filter circuit choke in the DC circuit of inverters (frequency inverters, inverters) for reducing or suppressing commutation dips. The filter circuit choke is used in combination with a capacitor in a compensation system. This results in a choked compensation system as reactive power compensation. The aim is to reduce possible overload caused by the harmonics of the speed-dependent drive systems in the network. The maximum harmonic voltages as a function of the agreed operating voltage are regulated by IEC 1000-2-4. The necessary calculation criteria for a filter circuit choke include the inductance, ambient temperature, harmonic current, direct current component, linearity and clear insulation material. The frequently selected attenuation of 7% results in a resonant frequency of 189Hz for the series resonant circuit consisting of filter circuit choke and compensation capacitors. A choking of 14 % results in a resonance frequency of 134Hz. The capacitors of the compensation system are also protected with the aid of the filter circuit choke.
