SIL 3 certified: Multiturn absolute encoder with a solid shaft

Absolute encoders from Huebner Giessen are suitable for deployment in the harshest conditions in rolling mills, the mining industry and crane systems. The multiturn version AM... 41 encoders are designed to fulfill the highest safety requirements and are particularly suitable for use in projects where safety is paramount. The reason is the absolute encoders AM... 41 with a solid shaft are certified to EN 61508 SIL CL3 and EN 13849 PL e. The encoder is available either in the version with PROFIsafe via PROFIBUS DP or with PROFIsafe via PROFINET IO. The resolution of singleturn is 13 bit (steps per revolution: 8192) and multiturn 15 Bit (number of rotations: 32768). A second shaft end is available on request.

The EGD50.5X is an absolute encoder with CANopen interface, developed according to CiA 406: Device Profile for encoders including NMT slave function. Seven different node addresses (Node-ID) are set by wiring/jumper.
The absolute encoder EGD50.7X is a dual encoder with two independent measuring systems. It is designed according to the SOLAS rules for main drives and rudder systems.
