Description

According to very conservative estimates the demand for energy in developing countries will at least double over the next 20 years. If this demand is primarily satisfied by fossil fuels and antiquated technologies, the result will be enormously damaging to the environment – particularly in the form of local air pollution as well as global climate change. The increasing use of renewable energy together with an enhancement of energy efficiency is the key to curbing these adverse effects.
SEF experts with their breadth experiences can assist to fulfil your responsibility for further generations.
Competences / Main Focus

  • Producer-independent consulting service for international partners in all renewable energy relevant topics on the basis of a detailed technology and market analysis
  • Replacement of obsolete conventional energy sources such as fossil fuels by renewable energy systems

Wind Power Stations - Manufacturers, Traders & Suppliers

Wind Power Stations
Wind power plants are one of the oldest techniques for generating energy from the wind. Strictly speaking, every windmill is a wind power plant. The principle is the same: The wind rotates large blades that generate electricity.First attempts to generate electricity from wind are known from 1887. The Scotsman James Blyth used a wind turbine to use accumulators to illuminate his holiday home. In his time the wings were still covered with canvas to provide a sufficient surface for the wind.First successful tests with profiled rotor blades were undertaken in Denmark. In 1920, Albert Betz formulated the physical principle of aerodynamically shaped blades. In Germany, the first significant wind power plants were implemented in the "GROWIAN" (Large Wind Turbine) project. These are two-bladed rotors used to generate energy. Today, a modern wind turbine usually has three blades. If several such wind turbines are located together in one place, we speak of a wind farm. Increasingly, the power of the wind on the high seas is being used to generate energy. Residents' complaints are not to be expected. Unfortunately, not everyone on land is convinced of the need for gentle energy generation. At sea, however, only the strength or weakness of the material stands in the way of the project. Since the materials have been increasingly improved, the so-called offshore wind turbines are now quite feasible.
